Legal Counsel

As Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely legal advice to the company.

The company uses external counsel for matters relating to litigation or employment law but it’s expected all of the interesting and complex technology contracts work will remain inhouse.

This role would suit a lawyer with extensive experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial and technology agreements.

The work will include:

• Drafting and negotiating complex technology contracts including SaaS agreements

• Advising on general commercial matters, including IP, employment, privacy, data protection and corporate law

• Partnering with relevant internal business units and acting as an advisor on commercial and legal issues

• Engaging with senior stakeholders and external counsel on complex legal issues

For this role it’s expected the successful candidate will go into the office three days a week.

Initially this role will be the sole Legal Counsel in the UK business. It’s expected the person going in to this role with be highly experienced in drafting a variety of complex technology and commercial agreements.

The ideal candidate will also have:

• 6+ years PQE of experience as a technology lawyer, gained from a law firm or similar in-house role

• Strong expertise in commercial agreements with a technology focus. Additional exposure to corporate law would be a bonus

• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

• A proven ability to provide strategic legal advice in a fast-paced, technology driven environment

• Proven ability in mentoring junior lawyers
