The Role
We are looking for a backend engineer with strong fundamentals who leverages AI tooling to move fast and ship pragmatic solutions. You will own significant parts of our platform, lead technical initiatives, and scale infrastructure as we grow. Individual ownership, proactive problem-solving, and using AI to accelerate delivery are essential.
What you will do:
- Contribute and lead new technical and product initiatives
- Take a hands-on approach to design, architecture, development, and deployment of pragmatic software that powers Beacon's platform
- Conduct thorough code reviews and seek out simplicity
What you will need:
- 3+ years Java & Spring Boot
- AWS service development and deployment
- Solid expertise in backend development, microservices architecture, and CI/CD best practices
- Track record maintaining secure applications in production
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Growth-oriented mindset
- Early-stage startup experience
Nice to haves:
