The predicted salary is between 64000 - 96000 £ per year.

Design and management of a new Middle Office, designing new processes and taking on existing processes from other departments.

Stakeholder liaison and relationship management to ensure a smooth transition to the new structure.

Development and ownership of the derivatives and collateral reporting pack.

Weekly/monthly/year-end reporting of the Group’s derivatives and associated collateral positions to support financial and regulatory reporting.

Monitoring and reporting the Group’s portfolio of investment securities (repos, reverse repos, RMBS, gilts etc).

Act as the key point of contact for the balance sheet substantiation process for these instruments, including analytical review and reconciliation to counterparty, with investigation and explanation of differences as required.

Review and approval of Treasury Back Office setup of new instruments, bank accounts and counterparties, including telephone confirmation when required.

Work with Treasury Front Office, Back Office, Regulatory Reporting, FP&A, Hedge Accounting and Statutory Reporting teams, and wider stakeholders on new initiatives, including the transfer of additional activities into Middle Office and changes to the Treasury Management System.

Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.

  • Specialist knowledge of interest rate swaps and financial markets, and associated valuation concepts is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of FIS Quantum or similar Treasury Management Systems is essential.
  • Specialist knowledge of Treasury processes and associated internal controls is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Treasury Front Office / Middle Office / Back Office structure and division of responsibilities is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 9, IFRS 13 and related financial standards is desirable.
