Our client has an exciting new opportunity to offer as a VP Balance Sheet Optimisation, where you’ll:
- Be a leader within a team of treasury experts to collaborate with teams across Treasury and the Group to gain valuable insight into the products written and the balance sheet constraints faced.
- Manage the team to build the treasury and banking legal entity funding plans, working with the issuance and hedging teams to ensure that market considerations are reflected appropriately.
- Create and effectively share insights on the competitive environment, including key information from peer financial statements and market releases.
Responsibilities:
- Optimisation of legal entity funding plans, ensuring both regulatory and internal risk appetite is managed across the Banks and any other regulated liquidity sub-groups.
- Executive reporting including GALCO, Board and GLRC messaging relating to Funding and Liquidity planning.
- Supporting quarterly and ad-hoc investor relations activity, including regular analysis of peer and market activity.
- The role will require close collaboration with the hedge accounting, central finance, Treasury and Group Tax teams to ensure that constraints do not unnecessarily trap liquidity or capital.
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding changes to relevant regulations to ensure the Bank is prepared and makes well informed decisions to mitigate any risks.
- Leading, and developing your team through stretching objectives, feedback and coaching, supporting and inspiring them to deliver on our purpose.
