  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Finance Lawyer (3–7 PQE) to join the legal team of a fast-growing international energy business on an initial

3-month contract , with potential for extension.

Working as part of a collaborative in-house legal team, you'll support the business on a broad range of financing transactions, partnering closely with commercial and business stakeholders on strategically important matters.

The Role

Key responsibilities are likely to include

  • Advising on project finance, structured finance and derivatives transactions, together with related financing arrangements.
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of finance documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, derivatives documentation (including ISDA documentation) and other structured finance agreements.
  • Supporting commercial teams on the legal aspects of financing structures, risk allocation and transaction execution.
  • Working closely with external counsel where required on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Assisting with wider commercial, banking and finance legal matters as needed, offering the opportunity to broaden your experience across the legal function.

About You

To be successful, you'll ideally have

  • 3–7 years' PQE gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team.
  • Strong experience in project finance, structured finance, or banking/ finance transactions.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • A pragmatic, business-oriented approach and the confidence to work directly with stakeholders.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
