We’re currently working on a senior interim opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a well-established business operating in the infrastructure / engineering space. This is a 12-month maternity cover role with real breadth and visibility — ideal for someone who enjoys operating close to the business and leading on strategic, project-driven work.
The role:
- Lead legal support on key strategic projects
- Advise on a wide range of commercial, engineering, construction and procurement matters
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across the business
- Handle insurance-related issues
- Manage disputes (not a pure disputes role)
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ PQE commercial lawyer
- Strong background in engineering / construction / infrastructure environments
- Experience with engineering and maintenance contracts
- Proven in-house experience (essential)
- Comfortable working autonomously and hitting the ground running
- Commercial, pragmatic and able to deliver clear, business-focused advice
