A growing international infrastructure business is seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to join its legal function. This role will support the EMEA business be remote in the first instance, before moving to a hybrid role in London.
This is an opportunity to take on a broad, high-value construction workload within a commercially ambitious and fast-moving organisation. The role will work closely with development, procurement, operational and commercial teams on complex projects across multiple jurisdictions.
The role
You will provide practical, commercially focused legal support across the full lifecycle of major projects, including:
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on construction and project documentation
- EPC, EPCM, design-and-build, consultancy, supply and services agreements
- Advising on procurement strategy, risk allocation and contract-management issues
- Supporting teams on variations, claims, delay, defects and contractor performance
- Managing external counsel and coordinating legal advice across multiple work streams
- Identifying legal and commercial risk, and helping stakeholders reach workable solutions
About you
You will be an England & Wales qualified solicitor with strong construction and projects experience, ideally with around 8+ years’ PQE.
You will bring:
- Strong front-end construction experience on complex, high-value projects
- A practical understanding of procurement and contractual risk allocation
- Experience working with, or advising, sophisticated development and delivery teams
- Confidence operating autonomously in a lean, commercially driven environment
- Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and a collaborative approach
Experience in major projects, industrial development, energy, utilities, real estate development or other complex asset-led environments would be beneficial, but is not essential.
