We’re currently working on a senior interim opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a well-established business operating in the infrastructure / engineering space. This is a 12-month maternity cover role with real breadth and visibility — ideal for someone who enjoys operating close to the business and leading on strategic, project-driven work.

The role:

  • Lead legal support on key strategic projects
  • Advise on a wide range of commercial, engineering, construction and procurement matters
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across the business
  • Handle insurance-related issues
  • Manage disputes (not a pure disputes role)

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ PQE commercial lawyer
  • Strong background in engineering / construction / infrastructure environments
  • Experience with engineering and maintenance contracts
  • Proven in-house experience (essential)
  • Comfortable working autonomously and hitting the ground running
  • Commercial, pragmatic and able to deliver clear, business-focused advice
