We’re currently working on an exciting opportunity for a commercial lawyer to join a well-established business in the infrastructure / engineering sector. This is a 12-month maternity cover role offering broad exposure, strong stakeholder engagement and the chance to work closely with the business on a range of strategic and day-to-day matters. It would suit a lawyer who enjoys variety, wants to build on their in-house experience, and is keen to take on a visible and commercially focused role.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the business on a range of strategic projects
- Advising on commercial, engineering, construction and procurement matters
- Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation
- Assisting with insurance-related issues
- Supporting on disputes and contentious matters, alongside wider commercial responsibilities
We’re looking for:
- A commercial lawyer with around 7–10 years’ PQE
- Experience gained in construction, engineering, infrastructure or closely related sectors
- Familiarity with engineering and maintenance contracts
- Some in-house experience, or a strong interest in moving in-house, would be advantageous
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach
- Someone who is confident building relationships internally and working as part of the business
