Legal Counsel - Real Estate in England

Director, In‑House Legal – Beacon Legal

Our client, a leading multinational financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced commercial real estate lawyer to join its in‑house legal team on a 3‑month fixed‑term contract , to start March 2026 . This role offers an excellent opportunity to support a global real‑estate strategy within a high‑performing, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the organisation’s strategic real‑estate activity, including global office expansion, property development, acquisitions, disposals, and complex leasing arrangements.
• Take a lead role in transactional drafting and negotiations, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver commercially sound and operationally efficient solutions.
• Manage a broad range of real‑estate matters, from standardised agreements to bespoke, high‑value transactions.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial leases and related contracts, manage external counsel, advise internal business clients, and support ongoing management of the organisation’s international real‑estate portfolio.
• Assist in implementing process improvements, resolve issues within existing commercial relationships, and support pre‑litigation matters as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4+ years’ post‑qualification experience, specialising in commercial real estate.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating real‑estate contracts in English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
