Foster carers are required across Manchester, Lancashire, Preston and Blackpool. Beacon Fostering is recruiting to start your fostering career with us. We have a strong family ethos and therapeutic focus.
This role is to become a self-employed foster carer and make a difference to a child or young person. We provide all the training, support, access to therapeutic sessions and one-to-one social work support.
You can receive a foster carer payment of up to £800 for each child or young person, depending on their needs and support. Fostering is treated as self-employment and is mainly tax-free, with an annual allowance for each household of £19,360, plus a weekly tax-free amount of up to £485 per week.
The process to become a carer takes between 3 to 6 months. You do need a spare room and the time for fostering. Applicants are to be age 21 or above.
