We are recruiting Two Part-Time Support Workers to join our vibrant housing services for people aged 55. This is not a service focused on decline; it's about community, independence, and living well. Our residents are active, socially connected, and value confidence, choice, and having support that walks alongside them rather than taking over. If you believe later life can be full of purpose, connection, and possibility, you'll feel at home here.
We have two roles available:
- 20 hours per week based at Ty Twyn Teg (Neath)
- 30 hours per week based at Ysbryd Y Mr (Port Talbot)
If you've worked in HSG-funded support services and are looking for a change of scene, we'd encourage you to set aside any preconceptions about working with older people and take a closer look. Whether your background is in:
- Domestic abuse services
- Mental health support
- Generic tenancy support
- Or another area of supported housing
Your skills are highly transferable here; good support is good support.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing person-centred, strengths-based housing support across our schemes in Neath Port Talbot
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and community connection
- Supporting people to manage their tenancies and wellbeing
- Being part of an engaged, friendly team that values creativity, humour, and fresh thinking
What we're looking for:
- Experience in HSG-funded support services
- A positive, open-minded approach and genuine enjoyment of working with people
- Someone who values community and isn't afraid to think differently
- A belief that later life can be active, social, and meaningful
What you'll get:
- A genuinely enjoyable working environment with a supportive, collaborative team
- The opportunity to build relationships with a diverse range of people
- Plenty of variety and regular (sometimes surprising!) challenges
- A role where your experience is valued and your ideas are welcomed
