Ysbryd Y Mor - Port Talbot and Ty Twyn Teg - Bryncoch are purpose-built self-contained housing schemes that enable people aged 55 and over to retain (or regain) independence, by having the freedom of living in the community, with added security and support as and when needed. Living in an extra care housing scheme means having your own self-contained apartment, your own front door as well as having access to a range of communal facilities, such as activity spaces, hair salon and dining room, promoting social engagement and tackling social isolation.
Our support workers play an active part in supporting our residents' lives in the scheme. The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties and tasks. The nature of the role will mean that every day will present its own unique circumstances and, as such, the post holder will be expected to have a flexible and resilient manner.
