Beach Baker is working with a highly respected, long-established national property consultancy to recruit a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) to join its specialist Valuation team, focusing on loan security work for UK lenders. Our client is a specialist valuation practice offering direct client exposure, responsibility for full instructions, and an environment that rewards commercial thinking, initiative and business generation alongside technical excellence. The firm provides a full suite of real estate advisory services, including expertise in valuation, investment advisory, LPA receivership and development.

The successful candidate will deliver Red Book-compliant loan security valuations across a broad range of commercial and mixed-use property, supporting lending decisions for banks, building societies and alternative lenders. This is an opportunity to work in a professional valuation environment with strong senior support, clear responsibility, and excellent scope for progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver loan security valuations for new lending, refinancing and periodic reviews
  • Manage instructions end-to-end, from inspection through analysis, modelling and reporting
  • Prepare clear, lender-focused valuation reports, including assumptions, sensitivities and risk commentary
  • Value a range of asset classes including office, industrial/logistics, retail and mixed-use
  • Ensure full compliance with RICS Red Book, lender instructions and internal QA processes
  • Maintain robust audit trails appropriate for lender panel requirements
  • Liaise professionally with lender clients, borrowers, solicitors and managing agents
  • Contribute to business development through repeat instructions and relationship building, with senior support
