Due to continued growth and an expanding client portfolio, the team has significantly strengthened its position in the market, providing strategic business rates advice to Local Authority clients and securing appointment to a major public sector framework. The department has been advising several large UK-wide real estate organisations on complex business rates strategies across extensive property portfolios.
The team specialises in delivering expert strategic advice, appeal management, and innovative solutions that reduce rates liabilities and drive operational efficiencies. Clients range from national brands and major occupiers to public sector organisations and institutional property owners.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and proactive professional with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. Experience advising on Local Authority property portfolios would be beneficial but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:- Manage the delivery of client instructions and complex business rates casework.
- Prepare and submit detailed Check, Challenge and Appeal cases.
- Undertake site inspections, measurements, and valuation assessments.
- Represent clients in negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency and billing authorities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while supporting new business opportunities.
- Mentor and support Surveyors and Graduates in their professional development.
- Contribute to industry thought leadership, presentations, and sector initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with professional, financial, and quality standards.
- MRICS qualified with proven post-qualification experience in business rates consultancy.
