An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate Surveyor / Manager to oversee the management of a prestigious, historic private estate in Surrey. This multi-faceted role involves managing a diverse property portfolio, including farmland, woodland, residential and commercial lets, as well as areas of common land and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising land and property use while ensuring long-term sustainability. This is a unique chance to join a long-established estate and contribute to its future growth and preservation.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the estate’s let and in-hand property portfolios
- Engage with tenants, contractors, and third-party stakeholders
- Supervise maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment projects
- Identify and implement new income opportunities, including natural capital projects
- Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, and new lettings
- Prepare estate reports, budgets, and financial planning documents
- Oversee grant applications and compliance with land management regulations
- Review and manage contracts, insurance, and health & safety policies
- RICS qualification (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ PQE
- Strong organisational, negotiation, and financial management skills
- A self-starter with the ability to lead and motivate others
- Proficiency in estate management technology and reporting
- A full driving licence
