Recruiting Surveyors throughout the Rural & Property Sector for Beach Baker | Sales Director responsible for driving fee revenue across the company

Are you an experienced RICS-qualified surveyor with a passion for rural estate management? We’re working on behalf of a well-established, highly respected East Midlands-based firm to identify a capable and motivated professional to take on a key role managing a portfolio of large private estates.

This is a unique opportunity to join a long-standing, director-led professional practice with a loyal client base and a reputation for delivering high-quality advice across the agricultural, residential, and commercial sectors.

The Role:

You’ll be taking the lead on the day-to-day and strategic management of multiple private estates. This will involve a wide variety of responsibilities—from property management and compliance to identifying development opportunities and advising on diversification strategies.

The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in rural estate management, enjoy working independently, and be confident engaging directly with clients, tenants, and contractors. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where your initiative, professionalism, and relationship-building skills will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing residential, agricultural, and commercial lettings and compliance
  • Managing health and safety procedures across client portfolios
  • Advising on diversification and new income streams
  • Liaising with insurers and ensuring appropriate cover is in place
  • Project managing property refurbishments and maintenance
  • Identifying development potential and advising accordingly
  • Handling valuation, acquisition, disposal, and compensation matters
  • Advising on mineral rights and land restoration
  • Providing high-level consultancy to long-standing estate clients

Ideal Candidate:

  • Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with a strong post-qualification track record
  • Client-focused, commercially aware, and confident leading projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to specialist software
  • Full UK driving licence essential

Offer:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
  • Car allowance and discretionary bonus scheme
  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday), with flexible working considered
  • A respected and established firm with a loyal client base
  • The opportunity to work autonomously with genuine responsibility

This role offers a rare chance to take ownership of a diverse portfolio and make a meaningful impact. If you're ready to step into a role where your expertise will be recognised and your autonomy respected, we’d welcome your application.

Your application will be dealt with in the strictest confidence by Dan Cole. Please call our office on 07443 880 834 or alternatively send your CV (at this stage do not worry if it’s not up-to-date) directly to dan.cole@beachbaker.co.uk
