Are you an experienced RICS-qualified surveyor with a passion for rural estate management? We’re working on behalf of a well-established, highly respected East Midlands-based firm to identify a capable and motivated professional to take on a key role managing a portfolio of large private estates.
This is a unique opportunity to join a long-standing, director-led professional practice with a loyal client base and a reputation for delivering high-quality advice across the agricultural, residential, and commercial sectors.
The Role:
You’ll be taking the lead on the day-to-day and strategic management of multiple private estates. This will involve a wide variety of responsibilities—from property management and compliance to identifying development opportunities and advising on diversification strategies.
The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in rural estate management, enjoy working independently, and be confident engaging directly with clients, tenants, and contractors. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where your initiative, professionalism, and relationship-building skills will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing residential, agricultural, and commercial lettings and compliance
- Managing health and safety procedures across client portfolios
- Advising on diversification and new income streams
- Liaising with insurers and ensuring appropriate cover is in place
- Project managing property refurbishments and maintenance
- Identifying development potential and advising accordingly
- Handling valuation, acquisition, disposal, and compensation matters
- Advising on mineral rights and land restoration
- Providing high-level consultancy to long-standing estate clients
Ideal Candidate:
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with a strong post-qualification track record
- Client-focused, commercially aware, and confident leading projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to specialist software
- Full UK driving licence essential
