Rural Chartered Surveyor – West Midlands

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded rural property business in the West Midlands that is looking to strengthen its professional team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Surveyor seeking variety, autonomy and the chance to develop their career within a supportive rural practice. Importantly, the client is flexible and can tailor the role to suit the experience, strengths and interests of the successful individual, rather than expecting someone to fit a rigid job description.
The Opportunity
The wider team advises a diverse rural client base across a broad range of areas, including:
- Rural and agricultural property valuations
- Estate and land management
- Agricultural landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews and succession
- Compulsory purchase, compensation and utility/infrastructure work
- Planning, development, promotion and option agreements
- Natural Capital, Biodiversity Net Gain and agri-environment schemes
- Strategic advice to farming and rural businesses, including diversification and longer-term planning
Whether your background is predominantly in valuation, estate management, landlord and tenant, compulsory purchase, rural planning and development or environmental work, the client is keen to have a conversation.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience within rural property or agricultural consultancy
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- The confidence to manage their own workload and client matters
- A commercial and proactive approach
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider team
- CAAV membership, or willingness to obtain it, would be advantageous
- VRS registration would also be beneficial but is not essential
