We are working in partnership with a prestigious, multi-faceted rural estate to appoint an Estate Quantity Surveyor into its in-house Building Consultancy Team. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation with a long-term approach to asset management, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, agricultural and heritage property within a unique estate setting.

This is a broad and hands-on role combining both client-side and contractor-side Quantity Surveying responsibilities, supporting a wide range of maintenance and construction projects:

  • Managing tender processes, analysing returns and appointing contractors/suppliers
  • Administering contracts including valuations, variations, interim payments and final accounts
  • Producing cashflow forecasts, programmes and financial reports
  • Monitoring project performance against budgets and timelines
  • Supporting delivery of works including refurbishments, extensions, heritage repairs and planned maintenance
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders

Projects typically range from £1k–£300k, with occasional larger capital schemes.

We are keen to speak with highly motivated Quantity Surveyors with strong technical capability and a collaborative approach:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within construction or property
  • Experience administering building contracts and managing projects through the full lifecycle
  • Knowledge of planning, building regulations, listed buildings and health & safety legislation
  • Experience delivering refurbishment, maintenance or development projects
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience working with heritage or listed buildings
  • Project management or conservation-related qualifications
  • Familiarity with industry software and digital tools
