Associate Partner - Chartered Building Surveyor
London | Multi-Disciplinary Property Consultancy
I'm working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary property consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor at Associate Partner level to join its London team.
This is a senior opportunity for someone who wants more than simply a delivery-focused role. You'll take responsibility for key client relationships and instructions, help develop junior members of the team and play an active part in winning work and growing the Building Consultancy offering.
The team advises a varied client base across the commercial, residential and public sectors, providing a broad mix of professional and project-led Building Surveying services.
The Role
You'll be involved in a varied workload including:
- Technical Due Diligence
- Dilapidations and associated negotiations
- Building and defect surveys
- Schedules of Condition
- Reinstatement Cost Assessments
- Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Refurbishment, conversion and fit-out projects
- Contract administration and project management
- Development monitoring
- Party Wall matters
- Principal Designer duties
- Feasibility advice and wider consultancy work
Alongside your own instructions, you'll work closely with colleagues across other property disciplines, creating good opportunities for cross-referrals and involvement in larger, multi-disciplinary projects.
At Associate Partner Level
The successful individual will be expected to take a prominent role within the team, including:
- Managing and developing existing client relationships
- Identifying opportunities for new instructions and fee growth
- Leading significant Building Surveying projects
- Supporting the wider development of the Building Consultancy team
- Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors
- Contributing to the continued growth of the London business
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will be:
- MRICS qualified with strong post-qualification Building Surveying experience
- Technically strong across a range of professional and/or project services
- Comfortable managing clients and instructions independently
- Commercially minded with an interest in business development
- Confident developing new and existing client relationships
- An effective communicator with strong organisational skills
- Keen to take a visible role in the continued development of a successful team
Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to join an established consultancy where you can combine hands-on Building Surveying work with client development, team leadership and genuine influence over the future growth of the service line.
The business offers a competitive salary and benefits package, alongside flexible working and a supportive, sociable working environment.
For someone already operating at Associate/Associate Director level, or an experienced Chartered Surveyor looking for the next step towards a more senior position, this could be an excellent move.
All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
