This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who enjoys working on diverse projects and wants greater exposure to rural, agricultural and countryside developments. Bourne Valley Associates has built a strong reputation for delivering planning and design services across the agricultural, industrial, renewable energy and residential sectors throughout the South of England and Wales.
With a substantial rural client base, the business plays a key role in supporting farm diversification projects, agricultural infrastructure, Class Q conversions, renewable energy developments and a wide range of commercial and residential schemes.
As part of a close-knit and experienced team, you'll benefit from genuine responsibility, direct client contact and the opportunity to work on projects from conception through to approval.
- Document writing, preparing planning statements.
- Preparing, submitting and managing planning applications.
- Providing planning advice to a varied client base.
- Attending pre-application meetings with local authorities.
- Building relationships with clients, planning officers and external consultants.
- Supporting a diverse portfolio of rural, agricultural, residential and commercial projects.
- Representing clients throughout the planning process.
A Planning degree or RTPI-accredited qualification.
At least two years' planning experience gained in either the public or private sector.
Strong report-writing and communication skills.
A genuine interest in rural and agricultural planning.
Experience of agricultural development, farm diversification, rural estates or renewable energy projects would be particularly attractive, although not essential.
