Director / Senior Director - Commercial Valuations - Birmingham
£70,000- £90,000 PA plus benefits

Role Overview
My client is seeking a Director or Partner-level Valuation Surveyor to join its Birmingham office. The appointment level will reflect the successful candidate's experience, client base and leadership capability, with a preference towards Associate Director and above.
The role will focus primarily on:
- Commercial Loan Security Valuations for major lending institutions and bank panel instructions
- Public Sector Asset Valuations for local authorities, government bodies and wider public sector organisations
The successful individual will play a key role in both delivering instructions and strengthening client relationships across these core service lines.
Nature of Work
Loan Security / Bank Panel Valuations
- Acting for a range of major lenders and financial institutions.
- Providing valuations for secured lending purposes across a diverse commercial property portfolio.
- Existing appointments across a number of lender panels, with opportunities to further expand panel representation and develop new banking relationships.
- Exposure to a broad range of asset classes including offices, industrial, retail, mixed-use and investment properties.
Public Sector Asset Valuations
- Delivering valuation advice to local authorities, government departments, and educational institutions.
- Asset valuations for financial reporting, accounting compliance and strategic asset management purposes.
- Working with a variety of asset types, requiring strong technical expertise, attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to client service.
The role offers a highly varied workload, combining technical valuation delivery with client management and business development responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
Essential Attributes
- MRICS qualified with a strong background in commercial property valuation.
- Proven experience undertaking loan security valuations and working with lender or bank panel instructions.
- Experience delivering public sector asset valuations, including valuation work for local authorities and other public bodies.
- Ability to operate confidently at Associate Director, Director or Partner level.
- Technically strong, commercially astute and capable of managing a substantial workload.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and grow key client accounts.
- Well-connected within the Birmingham and wider Midlands property market.
Desirable
- Existing relationships with major lenders, banks or lending panel contacts.
- Experience managing lender panel appointments and banking relationships.
- Established public sector client contacts.
- Track record of winning and developing valuation instructions across both secured lending and public sector sectors.
