We are looking for an experienced Forestry Consultant to join a leading UK forestry division with an outstanding reputation for delivering professional services across woodland sales, asset management, valuation, and investment advisory. This role focuses on Northern England, managing and growing an asset management portfolio while supporting clients with sustainable forestry solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage forestry properties across Northern England, from planning and planting to restocking and harvesting.
- Oversee contractors for planting, weeding, fertilising, and timber harvesting.
- Act as principal asset manager for client forestry portfolios, delivering exceptional service and expanding the client base.
- Prepare valuations, budgets, and investment recommendations for forestry acquisitions.
- Support afforestation projects and ESG initiatives, ensuring sustainable practices.
- Build strong relationships with clients and identify new opportunities for growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in forestry or land management.
- Strong understanding of carbon and natural capital markets.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop client relationships.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the rural economy and countryside.
Qualifications:
- Ideally a member of or working towards ICF membership.
- Formal forestry qualification (degree level preferred).
