Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded property consultancy to recruit a Chartered Valuation Surveyor for their Devon office. This is an urgent, business-critical hire due to a significant increase in valuation instructions from high street lenders. The team is currently operating at full capacity, creating an excellent opportunity for an incoming surveyor to step into a strong and immediate pipeline of work.

The Role
Based in Plymouth, you will join a busy and established valuation team undertaking a broad range of work, including:
- Loan security valuations (primary focus - high volume from lenders)
- Valuations for pension funds, private clients, and companies
- Work across commercial, residential and development property
- Coverage primarily across Devon, with some work in Cornwall and occasionally further afield
All instructions are undertaken in line with RICS Red Book standards.
Candidate Profile
- MRICS or FRICS qualified
- RICS Registered Valuer
- Ideally 2+ years PQE, although our client is open to considering strong candidates at different levels
- Experience delivering Red Book valuations in a commercial/general practice setting
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Proactive, team-oriented and commercially aware
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
