Are you an experienced strategic land professional looking to take the lead in a growing region? We are recruiting a Strategic Land Lead to join a respected multidisciplinary land and property consultancy. This senior position offers autonomy, variety and the opportunity to shape the strategic land offering across Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.

The Role

As Strategic Land Lead, you will oversee the identification, appraisal and securing of strategic land opportunities. Working alongside planners, architects, valuers and development specialists, you will deliver high-quality development advice and guide landowners through the planning and promotion process from start to finish. This role suits someone commercially minded, confident in land valuation and development appraisal, and comfortable leading strategy and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, appraise and secure strategic land opportunities
  • Conduct development appraisals, valuations and viability assessments
  • Advise landowners throughout planning, promotion and disposal
  • Track planning policy, local plans and regional housing needs
  • Build strong relationships with landowners, developers and agents
  • Drive business development and expand the strategic land portfolio
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team growth
  • Represent the business at regional industry events

About You

  • Strong background in strategic land and development
  • Skilled in land valuation, appraisal and planning-led decision making
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical ability
  • RICS qualification preferred
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
  • Full UK driving licence required
