Beach Baker is delighted to be working with a highly regarded property business that is looking to appoint a Service Charge Consultant to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional with strong service charge experience looking to move into a specialist advisory role. Working with a wide range of commercial and mixed-use assets, you will provide expert guidance to clients on service charge budgets, reconciliations, best practice and compliance.

The role would suit an individual currently working within commercial property management, service charge accounting or consultancy who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and delivering technical advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing and auditing service charge budgets and reconciliations.
• Providing technical service charge advice to property owners and occupiers.
• Supporting clients with service charge disputes and queries.
• Advising on compliance with current industry legislation and best practice.
• Undertaking service charge due diligence exercises.
• Identifying opportunities to improve service charge processes and reporting.
• Liaising with property managers, surveyors, accountants and external stakeholders.
• Assisting with service charge budgeting and forecasting exercises.
• Producing reports and recommendations for clients.
• Delivering a high-quality consultancy service across a varied property portfolio.

About You

• Experience within commercial property management, service charge consultancy or service charge accounting.
• Strong understanding of commercial service charge legislation and best practice.
• Experience reviewing service charge budgets and reconciliations.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• MRICS, IRPM or relevant accounting qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
