We are partnering with a highly regarded and established professional services firm, to recruit a Senior Reinstatement Cost Assessments Surveyor. This company delivers high-quality advice to insurers, brokers, and corporate clients on the reinstatement cost of buildings, plant, and other assets. Their work plays a critical role in helping organisations manage risk, protect value, and make informed strategic decisions. The Role:

This is a diverse and dynamic position where no two weeks look the same. You'll be undertaking reinstatement cost assessments (RCAs) across a wide spectrum of industries and property types. From city centre hotels and research laboratories to large-scale industrial plants and manufacturing facilities, you'll gain exposure to complex and varied assets, continually expanding your expertise.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting desktop and on-site reinstatement cost assessments
  • Researching and analysing construction and asset costs
  • Producing detailed, client-ready reports
  • Reviewing work completed by other surveyors
  • Providing technical insight and guidance to clients
  • Supporting the development of innovative valuation solutions
  • Maintaining and inputting accurate cost data into internal systems

This is a client-facing role with regular UK travel and occasional international opportunities.

About You:

Essential:

  • Background as a Valuation Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor
  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
  • Experience (or exposure) to commercial and industrial property assessments

Desirable:

  • Experience with Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs)
  • Knowledge of plant valuation
  • Strong data handling and analytical capabilities
