A leading property consultancy is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Rating Surveyor to join their highly regarded National Rating team, based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified surveyor with experience in business rates to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, market-leading environment. You will be part of a supportive and ambitious team, advising major clients on complex rating matters across a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to minimise clients' business rates liabilities.
- Manage empty property rates and apply for relevant reliefs.
- Inspect and accurately measure properties for valuation purposes.
- Analyse evidence and assessments to determine appeal potential.
- Prepare and submit high-quality submissions as part of the Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) process.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Contribute to team financial targets and explore new business opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior colleagues as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent), ideally with experience in rating.
- Proven track record of delivering rating advice and managing client portfolios.
- Familiarity with rating software such as Riverlake, Analyse, RatesData, and Calcurate.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
- Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
- Up-to-date knowledge of rating legislation, procedures, and appeals processes.
