We're working with an established rural property consultancy to recruit a Rural Surveyor / Land Agent for its Highland office. This opportunity will suit a qualified surveyor - or an experienced rural professional - looking to progress their career within a varied and high‑quality portfolio. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of estate management, rural consultancy, and valuation work, with clients ranging from private landowners and estates to rural businesses and public‑sector organisations.
The Role
- You'll support and deliver a wide range of rural professional services, including:
- Agricultural, commercial, and residential property and estate management, incorporating natural capital, forestry, and sporting interests
- Property consultancy covering sales and purchases, landlord and tenant matters, compensation claims, servitudes, and wayleaves
- RICS Red Book valuations and property appraisals
- Advice on renewable energy projects, including wind, hydro, solar, and battery storage
- Strategic land management advice for private and public‑sector clients
- Contributing to business development, client relationships, and new instructions
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who bring practical rural experience and a collaborative, client‑focused approach. Ideal background:
- MRICS or AssocRICS (or equivalent experience with a commitment to working towards chartership)
- RICS Registered Valuer status preferred, but not essential
- FAAV qualification advantageous
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently or within a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
