This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio, working across land management, acquisitions, disposals, and risk mitigation. You\βll be part of a collaborative national team, with the flexibility to work from home and travel across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Land & Property Management
- Oversee rural property matters including rent reviews, leases, licences, and land management contracts
- Provide expert advice on agricultural systems and agri-environment schemes
- Negotiate wayleaves, easements, and landlord consents
Acquisitions & Disposals
- Lead on the acquisition of land and property for operational and strategic purposes
- Manage valuations and negotiations for purchases, leases, and disposals
Risk & Compliance
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with grant schemes
- Help develop systems to manage legal, financial, and reputational risks
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with surveyors, area managers, and project teams
- Share knowledge and best practices across a national network
- Provide on-site advice to optimise land use and financial returns
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Surveyor (RICS Rural or equivalent)
- Strong post-qualification experience in rural estate management
- Knowledge of agricultural subsidies and cross-compliance in England
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
