Are you a motivated Chartered Surveyor looking for genuine responsibility, direct client exposure and the chance to make a real commercial impact? My client is a specialist valuation practice known for their technical excellence, entrepreneurial culture and supportive environment that rewards initiative, commercial thinking and business generation. They are expanding our Valuation team and seeking an MRICS-qualified Surveyor to deliver high‑quality loan security valuations for a range of UK lenders. You'll work across a diverse portfolio including office, industrial/logistics, retail and mixed‑use assets, providing Red Book-compliant advice that directly supports secured lending decisions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven Surveyor who wants full ownership of instructions, autonomy in day‑to‑day work and clear potential for career progression.
The Role
- Delivering loan security valuations for new lending, refinancing and portfolio reviews.
- Managing the full instruction process from inspection and analysis to modelling and reporting.
- Producing concise, lender-focused reports with strong assumptions, sensitivities and risk commentary.
- Valuing a broad range of commercial and mixed‑use properties across the UK.
- Ensuring all work meets RICS Red Book standards, lender requirements and internal QA processes.
- Maintaining clear audit trails suitable for lender panel review.
- Building strong professional relationships with lender clients, borrowers, solicitors and managing agents.
- Supporting business development through networking, repeat business and cross‑referrals (with guidance from senior colleagues).
About You
- MRICS qualification.
- Experience in loan security valuations.
- Solid understanding of credit risk and lender-focused reporting.
- Excellent report writing, organisational and time‑management skills.
- A proactive approach to client relationships and business development.
- A full UK driving licence.
