A successful firm of chartered surveyors with an established local presence has recently instructed Beach Baker to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor in their busy office. The company, established 15 years ago, specialises in the residential and commercial sectors, primarily working with historic / listed buildings.
Responsibilities
- Undertake pre-purchase building surveys and home buyer surveys and valuations.
- Conduct professional surveys with contract administration work.
- Apply computer-aided design where applicable and learn if necessary.
- Contribute knowledge of traditional construction and conservation on historic / listed buildings.
Requirements
- Preferably some experience of undertaking pre-purchase building surveys and home buyer surveys.
- Preferable knowledge or experience with computer-aided design (training can be given).
- Keen interest and knowledge of traditional construction and conservation on historic / listed buildings.
- MRICS or equivalent professional membership preferred.
- Local knowledge and contacts in Dorset / Somerset / Devon preferred, but relocating candidates considered.
