Beach Baker is delighted to be working with a well‑established, privately owned retail business to recruit an Estates Surveyor into their London‑based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high‑performing, close‑knit property team responsible for a significant UK & Ireland store portfolio across shopping centres, retail parks and high streets. The business has undergone a period of transformation, with a refined estate strategy and strong recent performance. You will work closely with senior leadership, playing a key role in driving value and performance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a nationwide retail portfolio, supporting the delivery of the overall property strategy
  • Negotiating lease renewals, rent reviews, regears and new store acquisitions directly with landlords and agents
  • Working closely with finance teams to appraise deals and assess store profitability
  • Liaising with legal teams to ensure transactions are delivered efficiently and cost‑effectively
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support store refits and new openings
  • Managing relationships with landlords, managing agents and external consultants
  • Supporting on rating and service charge matters alongside specialist advisors
  • Sharing market insight and contributing to strategic decision‑making

What We’re Looking For:

  • MRICS qualified
  • 3‑5 years’ experience in retail property, either in private practice or client‑side
  • Strong landlord & tenant experience, including rent reviews and lease renewals
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to link property decisions to business performance
  • Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills
  • Organised and able to work at pace across a busy portfolio

Package & Benefits:

  • £55,000 – £65,000
