An opportunity has arisen for an Estates Surveyor to join an in-house property team, responsible for the management of a varied national portfolio of office and industrial properties. This is a client-side position, offering a diverse workload and direct involvement in property strategy and day-to-day estate operations. The role involves the management of an operational portfolio of properties together with a portfolio of industrial investment assets. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, landlords, tenants and solicitors to ensure effective and compliant management across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing leases across a national portfolio, operational and investment.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, landlords, agents, and solicitors to secure and manage sites.
- Overseeing licences, schedules of condition, alterations, maintenance, and one-off works.
- Handling property-related queries from regional teams.
- Managing service charges, property invoices, rates queries, and compliance records.
- Overseeing marketing of vacant units, inspections, tenant liaison and covenant enforcement.
Essential Requirements
- RICS membership (or working towards).
- Strong working knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act, including statutory renewal processes.
- Proven experience with lease renewals and rent reviews within commercial property.
- Demonstrable experience managing multi-site commercial portfolios.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage detailed records and work proactively across a wide range of property matters.
