We are delighted to be working with a well‑established and highly respected rural consultancy to recruit an Estates Manager at Associate Partner level. This is a rare opportunity to join a progressive, multi-disciplinary business in a senior leadership role, offering clear progression to full partnership and genuine influence over client strategy, team development and the future growth of the estate management function.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the strategic and operational management of a diverse rural estate portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser to private landowners, families, trusts and corporate clients. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the strategic management of rural estates, balancing commercial performance with long‑term stewardship
- Acting as principal adviser to landowners, trustees and boards
- Advising on land use, rural diversification, property management, renewables, natural capital and environmental schemes
- Overseeing financial performance, budgeting and reporting across client portfolios
- Managing landlord and tenant matters, including agricultural tenancies, FMAs and estate property portfolios
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of estate managers and surveyors
- Contributing to business development, client retention and cross‑disciplinary collaboration
- Playing an active role in the strategic leadership of the consultancy at Associate Partner level
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Chartered status (MRICS or FRICS), ideally with a rural or estate management pathway
- Significant experience managing complex rural estate portfolios
- Strong commercial and financial understanding of estate performance
- Credibility and confidence advising clients at principal, trustee or board level
- Proven leadership and people management capability
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset aligned with partnership progression
- Experience or interest in natural capital, ESG, renewables or emerging land‑use markets (advantageous but not essential)
