About the Role

A fantastic opportunity to take on a senior estates and asset management position, supporting the head of service and playing a key role in the management of a diverse non‐housing property portfolio. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‐on estate management and offers significant autonomy and influence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the estates management function
  • Managing lease events, property transactions and commercial estate matters
  • Ensuring statutory compliance across council‐owned assets
  • Managing and overseeing external contractors and consultants
  • Maintaining and developing the property asset management database
  • Preparing reports and business cases for senior management and committees
  • Providing property advice to senior stakeholders
  • Line managing and developing the estates and asset management team
  • Deputising for the head of service when required
  • Undertaking property inspections and surveys as necessary

  • Strong background in Estates / Asset Management
