Beach Baker is delighted to be working with a highly respected national property consultancy to recruit a Commercial Valuation Surveyor for its growing Cambridge office.
Due to continued growth, our client is keen to speak with MRICS Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuers from recently qualified level through to Associate. Whether your experience is across general commercial valuation or a particular specialist area, this is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading team with a strong reputation across Cambridge and the Eastern region.
This position would suit an ambitious valuer looking to further develop their career, broaden their exposure across a variety of asset classes and build long-term client relationships within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Opportunity
Based from the firm's flagship Cambridge office, you will work alongside established valuation, planning & development and rural property teams, delivering advice to a diverse client base across the Eastern region.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of valuation instructions, including work for lenders, public sector organisations, educational institutions, property companies and private clients
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking commercial property valuations for loan security, financial reporting, taxation and internal decision-making purposes.
- Carrying out property inspections and detailed market research.
- Preparing valuation reports and development appraisals in accordance with RICS Valuation Standards.
- Reviewing leases, planning information, legal documentation and development agreements.
- Supporting major valuation projects across the public and education sectors.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to grow the valuation business across the Eastern region.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of best practice systems and processes.
About You
- MRICS Chartered Surveyor.
- RICS Registered Valuer.
- Commercial valuation experience gained within consultancy or a related environment.
- Strong report-writing and analytical skills.
- Commercially aware with an interest in business development.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
