I'm delighted to be partnering with a highly respected commercial property consultancy to appoint a Senior Property Management Surveyor within their Birmingham team.
This opportunity has arisen following the relocation of an existing team member and offers the chance to join a well-established business with an impressive client base of institutional investors, private property companies, public sector organisations and overseas investors.
You'll take responsibility for a diverse portfolio of industrial, office and retail assets across the Midlands, working directly with key clients and enjoying a high level of autonomy. The role combines traditional property management responsibilities with the opportunity to advise on rent reviews, lease renewals, lettings and value enhancement initiatives.
What stands out about this opportunity is the quality of the client exposure and the collaborative environment. You'll work closely with specialist teams across sustainability, building surveying and placemaking, allowing you to provide a genuinely rounded service to clients. You'll also play an important role in supporting and mentoring graduates and apprentices as they progress towards their professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse commercial property portfolio
- Building and maintaining strong client and tenant relationships
- Preparing detailed client reporting
- Overseeing service charge expenditure and income collection
- Undertaking property inspections
- Advising on rent reviews, lettings and lease renewals
- Assisting with acquisitions and disposals
- Supervising junior surveyors and on-site staff
Requirements
- Commercial property management experience
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Proactive and positive approach to work
- Ability to build credibility with clients and stakeholders
