We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with specialist expertise in Capital Markets, including trading and clearing processes as well as Trading, Collateral Management and Market Risk to join a team driving the expansion and ongoing enhancement of Clearing services. As part of this strategic initiative, you will play a key role in building a new Collateral Management System, ensuring it meets the needs of a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. This role involves translating high-level business requirements into detailed specifications, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Specification
- Develop detailed business analysis specifications from high-level requirements
- Ensure clarity and completeness of functional requirements for development and testing teams.
- Deliver high-quality documentation and analysis artefacts with minimal supervision.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Define data requirements and write SQL query specifications for validation and reporting.
- Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure accurate implementation.
- Support test engineers in understanding functional flows and data dependencies.
- Perform gap analysis and impact assessments for new products and markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including:
- IT teams – Product Owners, Developers, Testers, Business Analysts
- Operations users – ensuring alignment with operational needs and processes.
- Product Design teams – collaborating on functional and technical design aspects.
- Client Project Management structure – interacting effectively across multiple levels of governance.
Required Experience
- Experience as a Business Analyst, gained in Capital Markets environment, in-house or with a consulting business.
- Well developed understanding of clearing house operations and financial instruments.
Domain Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets, including trading and clearing processes.
- Familiarity with collateral management and market risk frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across IT, Operations, and Risk.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks.
