We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation professional with a strong track record in the financial services sector to join our CFO Advisory & Transformation practice at the Senior Manager / Director level. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercial finance transformation leader to seek partnership within two years. The successful candidate will design and deliver large-scale transformation programmes for CFOs and Finance leaders across banking, insurance, asset/wealth management, and fintech. This role requires deep functional finance knowledge, proven consulting experience, and a commercial mindset to help clients in regulated industries modernise their finance functions, enhance performance management, and adopt digital and AI‑enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Finance Transformation programmes specifically for financial services clients, ensuring high‑quality outcomes that meet regulatory and business requirements.
  • Partner with CFOs and ExCo stakeholders to design and implement Finance Target Operating Models (TOMs) covering people, processes, systems, and data.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable transformation roadmaps that balance efficiency, compliance, resilience, and value creation.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Provide thought leadership in finance change within financial services, covering core finance processes (regulatory reporting, R2R, FP&A, treasury, tax, product control, risk and capital).
  • Advise on emerging technologies in Finance (ERP platforms, digital tools, AI/automation, finance data platforms) and how they can be deployed within regulated FS environments.
  • Ensure all transformation programmes embed regulatory, compliance, and control considerations from the outset.

Practice & Proposition Development

  • Contribute to the continued growth of our Finance Transformation for FS proposition.
  • Develop thought leadership and insights on CFO agendas in FS, including finance digitisation, ESG/sustainability reporting, capital efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants and managers, fostering a high‑performance, FS‑specialist culture.

Commercial & Business Development

  • Build trusted relationships with financial services clients, becoming a strategic advisor to CFOs and Finance leaders.
  • Lead proposals, pitches, and pursuits, contributing directly to practice growth.
  • Drive revenue growth and cross‑sell opportunities with adjacent FS services (Risk, Compliance, Technology, Operations).

Required Skills & Experience

Financial Services Focus

  • Proven track record of delivering Finance change programmes in banks, insurers, asset/wealth managers, or fintech firms.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment (Basel 3.1, COREP/FINREP, Solvency II, IFRS 17, CASS, Pillar 3, ESG/ISSB reporting, etc.) and how it impacts Finance functions.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing Finance TOMs and change programmes in regulated FS businesses.
  • Track record of delivering programmes across core finance processes: R2R, FP&A, product control, regulatory reporting, and treasury.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Comfortable engaging with CFOs, CROs, and ExCo stakeholders in FS firms.
  • Experience managing large‑scale, cross‑border teams, including offshore delivery centres.
  • Strong influencing, communication, and relationship management skills at senior executive levels.

Technical & Functional Knowledge

  • Experience with FS finance platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, Hyperion, regulatory reporting platforms).
  • Familiarity with digital finance solutions (RPA, Gen AI, advanced analytics, finance data models).

Education & Credentials

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Additional qualifications in risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting are advantageous.

Personal Attributes

  • Deep passion for transforming Finance within financial services.
  • Strategic thinker with pragmatic delivery focus.
  • Commercially astute, entrepreneurial, and comfortable driving business development.
  • Collaborative leader who builds trust and inspires confidence in high‑pressure client environments.
