We are supporting a leading investment management firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Crime Advisory professional on an initial 6 month contract. This role sits within the Anti Financial Crime Advisory team and will focus on providing practical, business facing advice to the investments function. It is not a pure compliance or monitoring role and would suit someone who is comfortable operating in an advisory capacity and engaging directly with stakeholders.
The Role
You will act as a key point of contact for Financial Crime matters across the investments business, providing guidance on AML and KYC in the context of funds, mandates and client structures. You will also support the ongoing development and oversight of Financial Crime policies, controls and governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing Financial Crime advisory support to investment teams and related functions
- Advising on AML and KYC across funds and segregated mandates
- Working with Transfer Agents supporting both retail and institutional investors
- Supporting Financial Crime frameworks including policies, controls and governance
- Identifying and escalating risks and control gaps where appropriate
What We Are Looking For
- Strong Financial Crime advisory experience within asset or investment management
- Solid AML and KYC knowledge applied to investment products and client structures
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and providing clear, pragmatic advice
- Good understanding of asset management operations, including funds and mandates
- Exposure to alternative investments such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure or private credit would be beneficial
- Candidates with limited alternatives exposure will still be considered where there is strong asset management experience and a clear advisory background.
