BE Recruitment Ltd are working with a global brand within the supply chain industry. We are looking for a limited number of security officers to support in Middlewich (CW10).

LOCATION: Middlewich (CW10)

PAY RATE: £12.71

HOURS: Adhoc Shifts - 12 Hours (Days & Nights)

YOU MUST:

  • Have a valid SIA Licence
  • Experience within transport and logistics is an advantage

ADDITIONAL INFO: The Crime & Security Officer objective is to support the business to identify, measure and manage security risks and incidents as effectively as possible. Front line role, providing day to day security services, as dictated by operational need. The Crime & Security Officer provides a professional and positive lasting impression protecting colleagues, property and brand.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain service excellence within your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct contract specific security and risk reduction duties and responsibilities as defined in documented SOP/SSOW.
  • Indicative Examples:
    • Crime prevention and detection
    • Pedestrian and vehicular access control
    • Visitor and contractor controls
    • Patrols
    • Incident and alarm response
    • Monitoring security and life safety systems
    • Searches and investigation.
  • Ensure all risks and incidents are reported and formally recorded where required.
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with internal departments such as Operational Management; HSEQ; Facilities; IT and People Teams.
  • Champion security awareness programmes and communication channels within the contract location.
  • Support the security, safety and well being of all colleagues, visitors, and facility assets.
  • Support a risk-based security review programme maintaining Authorised Economic Operator status compliance and accreditation.
  • Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to colleagues in line with SOP's.
  • Conduct investigations as required in line with company procedures.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of operational security and risk mitigation across a supply chain environment or similar industry.
  • Holds valid SIA License to conduct duties required.
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal at all levels of the business.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and has excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of security systems and emerging technology.
  • Knowledge of industry security standards e.g., AEO, TAPAK.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK laws including P.A.C.E. and Business Policies.
  • Beneficial - relevant security related qualification and/or an experience in a similar role.
  • Able to achieve government SC clearance as required.
