General Operatives / MIG Welders Wanted! – Northamptonshire (NN5) 🔧 £16 per hour | Day Shifts | Immediate Start | Ongoing Opportunity BE Recruitment are working with a manufacturer in the NN5 area of Northampton, currently looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join their growing team. Working Hours & Pay: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30 Friday: 07:00 – 15:00 Pay: £16.00 per hour Key Duties: MIG welding on 90% stainless steel / 10% ferrous materials Work with material thicknesses between 1.2mm – 3.0mm, primarily 1.2mm – 1.5mm Read and interpret engineering drawings (1st and 3rd angle) Perform light gauge TIG welding with back purging Carry out heavy gauge fabrication Work on various projects from start to finish Use tools such as grinders, orbital sanders, saws Understand rolling and forming techniques Use vernier calipers and tape measures to tight tolerances Self-check your work to ensure quality standards are met Requirements: Previous MIG welding and manufacturing experience essential Ability to work to targeted production times Strong understanding of engineering drawings Adhere to company policies and safety procedures Experience in MIG welding and sheet metal processes is a plus Desirable Skills: Experience in TIG welding departments Knowledge of sheet metal/machining processes Ability to interpret both 1st and 3rd angle projection drawings What\’s in it for you?
