Production Wiring Operative Required! BE Recruitment are currently looking for a skilled Production Wiring Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Leicester (LE5), supporting the PowerProve industrial load bank production line.
About the Role:
As a Production Wiring Operative, you will be responsible for the wiring of control panels and sub-assemblies, working from general assembly drawings and wiring schematics. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality builds in compliance with internal standards and health & safety regulations.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
- Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
- Pay Rate: £14 - £15 P/H
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring control panels and sub-assemblies from wiring schematics and general assembly drawings
- Performing mechanical tasks such as drilling, tapping, and punching
- Wiring between components and fitting components with correct fixtures
- Carrying out basic electrical testing and inspection
- Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to resolve build or design issues
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly and panel wiring
- Proven background in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Hold a relevant electrical qualification
- Competency using hand tools, crimpers, and power tools
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with some manual lifting
