Our client, a successful polystyrene manufacturer and supplier, is currently looking for a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join their team, starting 2nd February until end of June.

The successful candidate:

  • Will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations.
  • Will have a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations.
  • Possess excellent driving skills and a thorough understanding of commercial driving practices.

Working hours: 05:30 - 15:30 for the 5 day weeks and 08:00 - 18:00 for the 4 day weeks with weekend work required occasionally.

Duties:

  • Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while adhering to scheduled routes.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
  • Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper securing of loads.
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record.

Qualifications:

  • Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles, Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
