Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week + 1 in 3 weeks on call

Be Personnel is delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a skilled and self-motivated Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Team. This role supports Freshwater farms and Recirculation Units and offers the opportunity to work autonomously in a dynamic and growing environment.

The successful candidate will carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical work, ensuring all plant and equipment operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Freshwater sites
  • Maximise uptime and performance of all plant and equipment
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programmes
  • Advise Farm Managers and Area Managers on engineering improvements
  • Plan, cost, and deliver site upgrades and engineering projects
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and actively promote site safety
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organised working environments
  • Manage spares and inventory to minimise equipment downtime
  • Support budget control and provide cost-effective engineering solutions
Ideal Candidate Profile

You will have a strong, multi-skilled engineering background and a proactive approach to continuous development.

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial experience
  • Recognised, time-served Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
  • SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or similar qualification
  • BS 7671 (18th Edition) certification
  • Computer literate, including spreadsheets and general software
  • Full UK Driving Licence (or willingness to obtain support available)
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable:
  • Periodic Inspection & Testing (2391-52 Level 3) qualification
  • Experience within aquaculture, industrial, or similar environments
