We are currently recruiting a Hygiene Department Trainer to join a fast-paced food production environment. This is a hands-on role focused on training, compliance, and maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards across the nightshift team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-the-job training to hygiene staff on cleaning procedures, equipment, and food safety
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and health & safety standards
- Monitor hygiene performance and provide coaching and feedback on shift
- Develop and update SOPs, CIC/CIP processes, and training materials
- Maintain accurate training records and support audit requirements
- Work closely with shift leaders to drive performance and standards
- Track KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience in a hygiene role within food manufacturing or processing
- Have good knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and hygiene compliance
- Have experience training or coaching staff (preferred)
- Can write and update SOPs
- Have strong communication and organisational skills
- Have good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Are reliable with good attendance and timekeeping
Desirable:
- Food Safety or Hygiene certification
- Experience with CIC/CIP systems
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean practices
