Be Personnel are happy to be assisting our client in the recruitment of an experienced Maintenance Technician, based in Inverness. Based in the Maintenance team and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be experienced in mechanical installation and inspection, welding and fabrication, and plant equipment repair. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across all production processes.
Competitive salary of £42,000 per annum
40 hours per week 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
1-in-5 weeks on call for out-of-hours repairs
Based Longman Road, Inverness
Please note that during the harvest period (mid-August to October) there will be a 12-hour shift pattern and holiday is not permitted during this time due to business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work across the site
- Providing insight into improvements and alterations that can be made to improve operational efficiency
- Breakdown rectification
- Work closely with management to ensure issues and anomalies are properly reported and resolved
- Completion of maintenance paperwork in accordance with company policies
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills/experience:
- Basic electrical skills
- Experience of working in an industrial-scale production environment, working on handling systems, belt conveyors, bearings etc.
- Welding/fabrication
- CMC qualified (desirable), or knowledge of the malting process
- Installation and inspection experience
- A team-player
- A problem-solver
- Able to operate a forklift (or be willing to learn)
- Full UK driving license
