Be Personnel is delighted to be assisting our client, in the recruitment of a self‑motivated Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Team, supporting their Freshwater farms and Recirculation Units.

This autonomous role involves both planned preventative and reactive electrical work, helping to ensure all plant and equipment operate at peak efficiency.

If you\’re ambitious, hands‑on, and driven, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Full time: 40 week + 1 in 3 weeks on call.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Freshwater sites.
  • Maximise uptime and efficiency of all site equipment.
  • Develop and manage a preventative maintenance programme.
  • Advise Farm Managers and Area Managers on engineering improvements.
  • Plan, cost, and execute site upgrades and project work.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and promote site safety.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environments.
  • Manage spares and inventory to reduce downtime.
  • Support budget control and offer cost‑effective engineering solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You should have a strong multi‑skilled engineering background and be keen to continuously develop your skills on the job.

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ industrial experience.
  • Recognised Time‑Served Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or similar qualification.
  • Hold BS 7671 18th Edition.
  • Computer literate, especially in spreadsheets and general software.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (or willingness to obtain – we can help with the cost).
  • Capable of independent, mobile work across different locations.

Desirable

  • Periodic Inspection & Testing (2391‑52 Level 3) qualification.
  • Experience working in aquaculture, industrial, or similar environments.
